Based on the exploration of local culture and island tourism resources of Penghu as a subproject, the translation of an important classic book in Penghu, Miscellaneous Notes from the Southern Seas by Cai Tinglan of the Qing Dynasty, is absolutely indispensable for the study of Penghu.
In the era that English is the international language, and with the emphasis on the Southward Policy, Penghu University of Science and Technology, a local academic institution, can carry out the translation plan for the Vietnamese documentary works by Cai Tinglan, a famous cultural figure of Penghu, indicating that this subproject is bound to be a milestone in the history and internationalization.
This subproject guided students to participate in the national competition of creative tour planning for the Year of The Town Tour, "one hundred Thousand Youth Prize of one million" held by the Tourism Bureau.
It guided students to design tourism itinerary with Huxi township of Penghu County as a classic Town, and green farmers roam in Xinanwan, winning the honor of junior college group champion.
It led students to learn from the game experience, which can arouse students' interest in learning and stimulate creative thinking from the game.
Based on the practice and on-the-spot investigation and learning method, students could understand the context of thinking more clearly, so as to develop the ability to solve problems in the future.
